Traveling with your significant other is one of the best ways to get to know them on a deeper level and strengthen your relationship. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing spa getaway, a private island escape or a luxurious adventure in the African bush, I’ve narrowed it down to some of my favorite hotels that are perfect for a romantic adventure abroad.
From Africa to North America, and everywhere in between, here are the most romantic hotels around the world!
Conrad Bora Bora Nui
Conrad Bora Bora Nui
Nestled beside the Motu To’opua lagoon, Conrad Bora Bora Nui is where I spent my 30th birthday with my boyfriend, Meyer. The five-star hotel gives you the chance to experience a swim-up cocktail bar, infinity pool, spa, four restaurants, and live entertainment.
For the truly romantic experience, stay in an overwater bungalow with the upgraded private pool, hot tub, and sun deck. Snuggle up with your loved one on a hammock under the stars and take in all the beauty that Bora Bora has to offer!

Ko’a Kea Hotel & Resort, Hawaii
While Kauai is known to be one of the wettest islands in Hawaii, the area of Po’ipu is sunny for most of the year. So you’ll have more than enough good weather for long, lazy days at the beach!

Lion Sands is located in the heart of Kruger National Park, one of Africa’s largest game reserves. It’s home to four lodges, each with a different flair

Amangiri is a beautiful property in Utah. The desert surrounds the suites, and design elements include white stone floors, an outdoor lounge with a fireplace and a beautiful pool that overlooks the landscape.

Tongabezi Lodge, Zambia
I’ve stayed in a lot of amazing hotels all over the planet, but Tongabezi Lodge in Zambia truly swept me off my feet. During my stay, I fell asleep listening to the hippos and woke up in a tree house with monkeys swinging on the nearby trees.
Elephants crossed the street at sunset, and we sat on a river raft and sipped tea as we watched crocodiles cruise down the river!
The biggest draw to the resort is closeness to Victoria Falls. You can take guided tours or book your own. I took a microlight flight over the falls, and it was one of the coolest things I have ever done in my life.
