As a bikini-obsessed traveler, I’ve made it my mission to seek out jaw-dropping hotel pools wherever I go. Some of the best hotel pools around the world feature incredible infinity edges, offer beach front views and reach epic heights.
I’ve put together a list of some of the best hotel pools that I’ve visited in my travels as well as some that are on my personal bucket list.
Let’s dive in!
Upper House
Gothenburg, Sweden
Upper House is a small, modern 5 star hotel of top international class located in the heart of Gothenburg with a spectacular view of the city. The hotel spa experience is one of the best I’ve had in all my travels. Admission to the spa experience is free for Upper House guests where they are treated to luxury spa products inspired by the Swedish west coast.
A traditional Hamam, hot steam bath and gym are reason enough to highlight this hotel. But, the outdoor glass-bottom pool hanging off the 19th floor makes this one of the best hotel pools in the world.

Hanging Gardens
Ubud, Bali
The Hanging Gardens Ubud has, without a doubt, one of the most photogenic and photographed pools in the world. The stunning split-level infinity pool is suspended high over the surrounding jungle and appears to float in its setting, giving swimmers the unique, immersive feeling of literally swimming above the treetops of Ubud.

Ayana Resort
Jimbaran Bay, Bali
The ocean beach pool at the Ayana Resort in Bali might just be the most breathtaking pool I’ve ever seen in person. While traveling in Bali, I spent an afternoon at the Ayana sipping cocktails at the famous Rock Bar and taking in the breathtaking views.
After an afternoon in the pool, don’t miss dinner at the resort’s Kisik Bar & Grill for fresh seafood and an unforgettable sunset!

San Alfonso del Mar
Algarrobo, Chile
How could the world’s LARGEST swimming pool not make the list? For anyone with a bucketlist of epic proportions, head to the San Alfonso del Mar in Chile for the longest swim lap of your life.
The 1,013 m (3,323 ft) long pool holds 250 million liters of water and reaches a maximum depth of a 35.1 m (115 ft)!
Kempinski Hotel Ishtar
Dead Sea, Jordan
While traveling through Jordan, I had the opportunity to stay at the Kempinski Hotel Ishtar at the Dead Sea. The hotel offers an amazing private entry into the salt-loaded Dead Sea. Float the day away then cover yourself from head to toe with the mineral-packed mud while you bake in the sun.
At sunset, I took a dip in the infinity pool that resembled a soup bowl. With a beach-style entry and Dead Sea view that stretches all the way to Israel, this hotel pool is pretty hard to beat!

Monastero Santa Rosa
Amalfi Coast, Italy
Unquestionably, the infinity pool of the Monastero Santa Rosa is one of the most incredible along all the Amalfi Coast. Cascading gardens meet the elliptically shaped fresh water infinity pool where it blends into the sea, disappearing between the horizon and sky.

The Yeatman
Porto, Portugal
The Yeatman hotel is one of the most unique luxury hotels I’ve visited in all my travels. This luxury wine spa hotel features a Michelin Star restaurant and a spa with skincare products and therapies that use extracts from the vine.
Everything from the food to the rooms and suites are themed to the region’s unique wineries and history. Even the pool is to theme shaped as a large wine decanter!
Marina Bay Sands
Singapore
One of the world’s most amazing hotel rooftop pools sits atop Singapore at the 5-star Marina Bay Sands hotel. The infinity pool stretches an impressive 150 meters and offers guests the best skyline view of the city.

3.14 Hotel
Cannes, France
While The Carlton Intercontinental might be the most iconic hotel in Cannes, the 3.14 Hotel has the best pool. This lesser known rooftop pool and jacuzzi offer an unbeatable view of the French Riviera.
Whether you’re a hotel guest or not, be sure to stop by for a cocktail and refuge from the summer heat.

Necker Island
British Virgin Islands, The Caribbean
While a stay at Necker Island will run you over $50,000, Richard Branson’s island definitely has one of the most incredible pools in the entire world.
I was lucky enough to get the chance to visit the island while sailing in the British Virgin Islands and it’s every bit as luxurious as it seems. The Beach Pavilion on the island has one of the most stunning pools around. It can be accessed from both the house and the beach and features a swim-up bar, grotto and waterfall.
Blue Lagoon
Grindavík, Iceland
The Blue Lagoon in Iceland was the #1 “pool” on my travel bucketlist! While it might not fall under the traditional definition of a hotel pool, the lagoon is actually a private man-made lagoon at the Blue Lagoon Geothermal Spa & Hotel.
The water temperature in the bathing and swimming area of the lagoon averages 37–39 °C (98–102 °F) year round making it one of the most popular destinations in Iceland. The warm waters are rich in minerals like silica and sulphur and bathing in the Blue Lagoon is said to have healing and rejuvenating benefits for your skin.

Conrad Bora Bora Nui
Even after having been to 70 different countries, French Polynesia took my breath away. Few places on the planet can compare to the natural beauty of this incredible island nation. What’s better than an amazing hotel pool? Your own private pool and overwater bungalow in Bora Bora!
Stay in an overwater bungalow suite, with private pool, hammock and insane ocean views!
