Ready for some urban exploration? Few cities offer the kind of glittering, ultramodern appeal that Dubai has in spades. If you want a glam getaway, look no further than the United Arab Emirates’ largest city.
Overlooking the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall, the Rove Downtown Dubai is situated right in the heart of downtown Dubai. This brand new, affordable, but chic hotel has everything that today’s travelers need for a first-class getaway.
Here’s my experience staying at Rove Downtown Dubai!
The Hotel
Modern and minimal is the theme at the heart of everything in the Rove. Forget about fussy details and low-tech restrictions. Rove caters to busy travelers with 24/7 lifestyles.
Featuring a 24-hour workout space, a sundeck, and a pool, this place has you covered at any hour of the day. In fact, even the meeting room is 24/7.
Every corner of the Rove is covered in free Wi-Fi so you’re never disconnected or paying a surcharge. There is a laundromat and boutique convenience store that’ll keep you stocked up on all of the essentials.
The Rove Downtown Dubai is an obvious pick for travelers looking for an affordable, modern place in the center of everything that this amazing city has to offer.
– The Rooms –
Every room in the Rove is a spacious 280 square feet, so you’ll never feel like the walls are closing in on you. With a 48-inch flat-screen interactive TV, a mini-fridge, a rain shower, and the kind of air conditioning that will keep you cool as a cucumber even on a 130-degree summer day in Dubai, the rooms at the Rove don’t disappoint.
Feel like treating yourself?
Upgrade to a room with a view of the Burj Khalifa! With all of the top-grade Rove amenities plus a tumble dryer, this room will truly take your breath away every time you gaze out at the world’s tallest skyscraper.
– Food & Drink –
Another top spot for views of the Burj Khalifa is the Daily Downtown Dubai. Admire the world-class view, or just grab some tasty takeaway.
Not only is the rustic decor inviting, the food options are very diverse, so you’re sure to find something to satisfy any cravings. And you won’t find a hefty price tag attached!
With locally inspired food as well as cuisine from all over the globe, this is the perfect spot to fuel up for a day of exploration. They even have a delicious, fruit-infused water station to start off your morning.
When you’re in the mood for a drink, check out The Lounge Downtown Dubai. With music going daily from 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., the lounge has top-grade wine, craft brews, and any cocktail you can think of.
Leisure Activities
Once you’ve had your workout, grabbed some breakfast, and lounged around the pool at the Rove, it’s time to get out there! Located in the center of the city, the Rove in Dubai is an ideal base for exploring the crown jewel of the United Arab Emirates.
Of course, your first stop has got to be Burj Khalifa.
Head to the top of the world and take in the magnificent view. Linger at Burj Khalifa’s restaurant, At.Mosphere, for world-class food and the ultimate Instagram-worthy view.
For another gorgeous sight, get to the Dubai Fountain. Choreographed to music, the waters of the Dubai Fountain climb to an impressive 500 feet. When you are ready to do some serious shopping, walk over to The Dubai Mall—the largest mall in the world by total area.
There is nothing that you can’t find here.
Shop local and international brands for a never-ending array of treasures. And you don’t have to leave The Dubai Mall when you are sick of shopping! It is so much more than a shopping center, and you could lose yourself here for days without ever getting bored.
Explore the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, visit the Rainforest Café, and then skate away the evening at the Dubai Ice Rink.
When you have gotten your fill of the city, get out-of-town! One of the best ways to see Dubai is from out in the sand dunes. Take a 4×4 tour and see what Dubai used to look like not so long ago.
