Hello – I’ve been reading your article about traveling in a campervan in Iceland. I plan to do the same. I saw you recommended world nomads travel insurance. When I called them and asked if they covered camper vans, I was told they do not. I was told they do not cover campers. You had wrote they covered your car door being blown open and damaged. Did they know it was a camper van? How did you go about getting coverage and the claim? Any advice on this?

    • Hmm so this trip was was back in 2016! Maybe with the rise in “van life” since then, they’ve discontinued covering them. I think Happy Campers offers insurance directly! You might need a separate policy. Sorry the info is outdated—I’ll try to research and update the article!

My favorite smart features of my old home! 🏠

I put a lot of thought and design into my home, so I knew I had to get curated, high-tech window shades to match.

Enter @rollishades — sleek, custom motorized shades that actually elevate the space while solving the very real sunlight problem. From light-filtering to blackout options, everything is tailored to fit perfectly and controlled with the touch of a button (or app). It’s the kind of smart, intentional design that makes a home feel finished. 🪟🤍

I easily installed these in my guest bedroom and let me just say, when guests come over, they’re getting what feels like a hotel experience in my home (minus the room service).
