Loved your perspective on Dubai. Though I have never been, I am going soon! It is such a melting pot of cultures. Most travelers and expats I have met are happy with the lifestyle they have there so the place must be good. I was wondering if you have been to any flea/local markets and suggest some cheap eats there?

    • Thanks Deb! I’m coming out with a Dubai guide in the next week or so, so keep an eye out 😉

I live in Oman and have been to Dubai countless times, usually driving the five hour distance. It’s a great place to visit. Your experience in Dubai was a great read. Would just like to clarify though, that its not just the expatriates who speak English. Most of the Arabs speak good English as well and that too in that very attractive Arab accent.:)
Did you go on the desert safari and experience some dune bashing?

I highly recommend staying a night or 2 at @themanor_house in The Cotswolds.

It’s located in the tiny, picturesque village of Castle Combe—one of my favorite stops of our trip.

We had the entire village to ourselves early in the morning and at sunset which was so magical!
