  1. Ha! Well we definitely think alike… I’ve been using Skyscanner to check the cheapest flight from LAX to anywhere in the world during the whole year (flexible summer too) and I saw cheap flights with Norwegian too. Copenhagen looked the cheapest. Haven’t pulled the trigger yet though because I can’t decide when to come back! Did you book a return??

    • No return! My first one-way flight 🙂

Hi! Thank you sharing! I tried skyscanner for the first time to look for flights from CA to Spain in Dec and was blown away by the prices – I checked with the airline websites and was brought back to reality ($570 vs $2900+). How do you deal with these differences and is this something that occurs alot and will I need to sift through to find the gems? And overall, too early to look for flights in December? Love your blog (and life!) and appreciate any feedback!

    • Hey Ang! The biggest mistake is booking too far in ADVANCE. So yes! Wayyyy too early to be booking a flight in December. The magic number for domestic is 54 days in advance. For international, check this out: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/03/01/best-time-to-book-a-flight_n_4875266.html

Thanks for this tip….i always thought the further in advance you book, the cheaper the flight cost would be…so 54 days in advance is what i have to shoot for.

        • Flights definitely fluctuate so keep your eye on flights. If you see something cheap far in advance, doesn’t always mean you shouldn’t book it either 😉
