I’m so glad I came across your blog! I’ve been a bit skeptical about traveling out of the country by myself but this really puts things into perspective. I’m taking a semester off of school during Spring 2016 and on of the reasons is to travel. I’m starting to plan out what I’m going to do now even though it’s a year from now. I was looking into places in South America but since reading your other articles I’m really leaning towards Thailand or Bali. Anymore suggestions? Also I’ll have from January to May off so when do you think would be the best time to go?

    • Hi there Kim!

I recently started a travel forum on my website so that you can get advice from, not only me, but the entire travel community.

I’ll be sure to answer your question there and that way it can help future readers. You can find the forum here: https://theblondeabroad.com/faq-travel-community-forum/

If you don’t find your answer there, feel free to post a new thread.

Thanks and looking forward to answering your questions on the forum!

  2. I loved this! I couldn’t agree more, it’s empowering to feel in control of what you see, whee you go and what you eat when traveling f solo.
Just came back from my first solo trip to Greece and I highly recommend everyone to try a solo trip.
    Thanks for sharing!
