  1. I really liked Krakow, though, as you note, the melancholy is palpable. I ate at a very upscale fusion place that was just incredible…but I don’t remember the name and can’t find it in my notes. Sorry! I was so impressed by the inventiveness of the cuisine, I still remember the experience, if not the name, several years later. Surely by now there are several restaurants in the city that would fit the bill.
