Hi! Thank you so much for this guide! It’s been super helpful! I love the aesthethics, your blog, everything! Actually, thanks to your blog, I did my first solo travel 🙂 and now, I’m inspiring from it to do my own blog. So my question is: do these guidelines, also apply for any kind of blog or just for travel blogs? Do you recommend to start alone, of to ask help from others? Like the design of the blog and defining the identity since for me I think it is the most important and difficult step. THANKS!

Hi Gabriela! My tips apply to anyone starting a blog — SEO, imagery, branding, getting your domain, all those things are the same 🙂 And that really depends — I learned A LOT when I first started and I think it’s really important to teach yourself useful skills (graphic design, some coding, creating an editorial calendar, marketing, etc). But I also spent a LOT of time utterly confused. If you know people who you can learn from, shadow them, or intern — that might be really good, or you can also hirer help when it comes to brand identity and designing your blog, too. 🙂

Thank you for the insightful tips! I’ve been wanting to start a travel blog and have started saving my collections of travel photos into the app Cookie Jar! It’s super simple to use and customizable with music and journal entry as well 🙂
