Harajuku and Shibuya
Kick off your morning with a visit to Meiji Shrine, a peaceful escape nestled in a lush forest—seriously, it feels like a world away from the city.
From there take a short stroll to the chaos of Takeshita Street in Harajuku, the heart of quirky fashion and playful eats. On this strip you’ll find colorful shops, over-the-top outfits, and the famous Harajuku crepes (a must-try!).
If you’re ready for your second morning coffee, stop in at Cafe Re-issue for 3D latte art! Your coffee has never looked so cool!
For lunch, head to Ichiran Ramen in Harajuku, where you’ll get a private booth to fully immerse yourself in one of Japan’s most iconic ramen experiences. Just be prepared to wait in line for around 30 minutes but it’s TOTALLY worth it!
Spend your afternoon wandering Omotesando, a sleek shopping boulevard lined with high-end stores and stunning architecture.
As the sun sets, make your way to Shibuya Crossing, the busiest pedestrian crossing in the world. It’s a must-visit for snapping some pics! Then stop by the Hachiko Statue before exploring Shibuya’s electric nightlife, whether you’re shopping, bar-hopping, or just people-watching.

Day 2:
Gotokuji Temple, Shimokitazawa, and Shinjuku
Start your day at Gotokuji Temple, home to thousands of maneki-neko (beckoning cat figurines) said to bring good fortune. It’s tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, making for a peaceful morning before heading to Shimokitazawa, Tokyo’s cool, indie district. Think vintage shops, record stores, cozy cafes, and a super chill vibe.
Next, make your way to Shinjuku, where you’ll spend the rest of the afternoon.
Stop for a breather in Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, a gorgeous green escape in the middle of the city.
Then, dive headfirst into Omoide Yokocho, a narrow alley packed with smoky yakitori stalls, followed by a bar crawl through the legendary Golden Gai, where tiny bars each have their own quirky theme and favorite sake.
If you’re up for it, wrap up the night at Kabukicho Tower where you can grab a cocktail, play at the arcade or dance to an AI DJ.
