If you’re like me, you’ve traveled with neck pillow, but constantly struggle to find a comfortable position. Either the back of the pillow pushes your head forward or the sides don’t actually support your neck.
You end up lugging around a big “U” shaped accessory for your whole trip. Might as well be a volleyball named Wilson.
I was recently introduced to The Travel Halo and have taken it on two trips now and it’s been a total game changer.
The design is simple, yet effective.
It’s worn like a headband but two built-in pads in the back keep your head from rolling to the side. I was skeptical that it would actually work, but sure enough, my head didn’t fall to the side, even when I added a little extra force.
To make the deal even sweeter, The Travel Halo has a built-in eye mask and small pouches for ear plugs, so you don’t need to worry about packing a bunch of extra items in your carry-on.
Rather than needing to pack a bulky pillow or something that I need to blow up, the Travel Halo is about the size of my fist when rolled up.
As it turns out, there are actually two styles of The Travel Halo. I have both so I was able to compare the two side by side to see which I liked better.

While some product reviews mention that the original Travel Halo was too tight around their heads, I actually prefer the original design, mostly because it’s a bit smaller in size.
The new design is definitely more cozy, easily adjustable and the eye mask is amazing, but I typically try to pack as light as possible and the original design is slightly more compact.
Whether your prefer a compact size or comfort, if you’ve been looking for the best travel pillow alternative, definitely check out The Travel Halo!

That’s actually amazing. Would be great for those 15 hour death buses.. I wouldn’t recommend wearing one while driving though like the picture above in the driver seat haha
Wow..this is really cool
