One of my favorite parts of summer is getting together outdoors! I love to go to a beautiful spot and just relax for hours. Whether it’s watching the sunset from the mountains or finding the perfect garden for a picnic, I’m always ready to break out the cheese platter.
With my friends scattered all over the planet, there’s nothing better than getting the chance to meet up with some besties for a perfect little picnic. I recently hosted a cozy get together with all my fave picnic grub, a few close friends and, of course, a few drinks.
Check out my summer picnic with Stella Artois!
Labor Day is coming up, so I planned a summer picnic alfresco with my closest friends to end summer properly! It’s been awhile since I’ve been stateside, so this was a great excuse to get together and host one to remember.
Since I travel so much, it’s really a treat to be able to spend the day surrounded by friends and enjoy the summer weather. We created beautiful cheese boards, fresh fruit salad, salmon lox and lime, chips and dips, and some sweet treats.
We also brought along plenty of Stella Artois!
If you think picnics are all about soggy sandwiches and potato salad from the grocery store, think again! We pulled off an awesome spread that had a bit of something for everyone.
Ready to plan your own ultimate summer picnic? Grab a checklist! If you’re a regular picnicker, you know how annoying it is to get to the perfect spot, then realize that you’re missing essentials.
Check out this quick picnic checklist that I always use:
Foods That are Easy to Eat Without Plate and Utensils: Keep it simple! I love doing a variety of crackers and breads with different toppings. As a vegetarian, cheese and avocado are always must-haves. Pre-cut fruit always makes things super easy too. Whatever you go for, stay away from mayo or anything else too temperature sensitive.
Cold Drinks: Bring a small cooler if you can so your drinks stay cold and try to pack popular, simple drinks that won’t require blending or glasses. Stella Artois is one of my favorite summer beers and it’s always my go-to for parties and picnics because it’s one beer that pretty much everybody likes.
Utensils: Don’t forget the bottle opener! With simple foods and beer, you don’t need much else but do bring along a couple of knives and spoons for serving if you’re bringing dips and cheeses.
Cleanup Supplies: Be sure to bring baby wipes, hand sanitizer, and napkins. Things can get messy out there and you don’t want to deal with sticky hands all day. Bring along a few plastic bags too, so you can take care of garbage and repack any leftovers.
Pillows and Blankets: Upgrade your picnic with oversized pillows, fluffy blankets and beautiful serving platters. Fresh flowers also make a great touch to beautiful picnic spread!
Remember, the best part of hosting a summer picnic is spending quality time with your best friends! Be sure to #HostOneToRemember this summer!
