I really like that you gave things to do each month, and a weather guide. I would really love to visit Portland, and this article helped me to see when the best time for me might be. Right now, I’m thinking April or May, although I would love to see the Chinese New Year events in January. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Great recommendations on things to do, although you’re way off on your winter weather information. The winter months generally range from the low/mid 30s at night to mid 40s during the day. 12 degrees is almost unheard of – that’s why it rarely ever snows despite all the precipitation we get in the winter!

Oh, and be careful telling people it doesn’t rain much in March – it certainly eases up a bit from December and January, but it’s still spring in the PNW, meaning there’s still plenty of rain. I had guests last March hoping we’d get some early spring, but we still got poured on!

    • Hi Melissa! Thanks for the corrections on the weather 🙂

I highly recommend staying a night or 2 at @themanor_house in The Cotswolds.

It’s located in the tiny, picturesque village of Castle Combe—one of my favorite stops of our trip.

We had the entire village to ourselves early in the morning and at sunset which was so magical!
