Is mid September a decent time to visit Iceland? Is it too cold then?

  2. Hi Kiersten, thank you so for and your site! would it be reasonable to travel to Seljavallalaug pool or Hornstrandir Nature reserve to name a few places during early or even late October please? Also, would $3000 -$4000 be enough money for flights, rental cars, food , lodging and the basics for 5-7 days please? Thank you!

    • Hi Lizzy,

I was there mid-October so I would believe so 🙂
As for budget, depending where you’re flying from, I’m not sure that is enough. Iceland is quite expensive all around, so I would research flights, car rental and accommodation before booking anything.
