    This is really useful. How much extra should you add if you want to go to the West Fjords as well? I hear that the roads are very slow there.

      Hey Michael! IF you’re looking to do the West Fjords, you’ll want to add a few more days. I don’t have an exact itinerary for this, so I would recommend looking into other blogs and travelers who have done that route. Happy adventuring!

    Hello! Was it ok to use a non 4×4 camper van?

      Hi Anna! We did just fine in our vehicle — I don’t think Happy Campers would rent out non-4×4 vehicles if they weren’t able to handle the terrain. That said, we weren’t really offroading, but driving in Iceland is definitely difficult than a typical freeway commute.
