Hello, I love your blog. When you left Skoura and traveled to Essaouira which way did you go? There seems to be the road to Tarodant and Agadir or via the mountains and Marrakech. We aren’t sure which to choose and are visiting Marrakech after Essaouira.
Your advice has been so helpful and we are excited to be visiting Morocco in April.

    • We had a driver who took us through and I don’t know the exact route we took.

#RivianPartner It’s Child Passenger Safety Awareness Week, and I’m partnering with @Rivian to share a few tips & reminders (Read on because the last one is SUPER important!)

As a travel lover who often hits the road with my toddler, safety is my number 1 priority.

The 2024 R1S earned the coveted TOP SAFETY PICK award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the only American EV in the Large SUV category to do so.

We chose the R1S as our family car (for many reasons), but we love that it has seating for seven and SO much storage space!

Every Rivian comes standard with Driver+, which assists with steering, braking, speed control, and more!

The 360-degree bird’s-eye view camera always comes in handy in tough parking situations.

And blind spot monitoring gives me peace of mind as a mom on the go!

Most importantly, make sure your child’s car seat is installed correctly:
Shoulder straps should hit right at the shoulders
The chest clip should be snug and level with their armpits
It shouldn’t move more than 1 inch from side to side or front to back.

And, if you’re using the “LATCH” system, be sure to reference the weight limits — it might be time to switch to a seatbelt installation!

Disclaimer: The information provided in this post is for informational purposes only. Always consult your car seat owner’s manual and seek expert assistance when installing and using car seats and boosters.

Maui with a Toddler! 🌴⛱️

🏝️ Stay at @fsmaui — The most amazing, luxurious, and family-friendly hotel! It’s located right on the beach and we spent most days lazing on beach and splashing in the pool.

🛻 Rent a “Monster Truck” — My little one, Oliver, is obsesssssed with cars so this was a huge highlight for him. We booked a Jeep in advance and they rental company let him pick the color lol.

🍨 Hawaiian Shave Ice at Ululani’s in Kihei — This is a top spot for the Hawaiian sweet treat, shave ice. Plan for a long line, but it moves quickly! If you want to try another Hawaiian staple, visit Sugar Beach Bake Shop next door for some Spam Musubi.

🥾 Trek Twin Falls — This is a super kid-friendly hike. Arrive as early as possible to beat the crowds and bring $10 cash for parking. You can hang at the lower falls or walk about 1 mile to the upper falls. Be prepared for rain and wear footwear you can get wet (like Teva sandals).

🏄‍♂️ Visit Ho’okipa Beach for Sea Turtles — Check out the views of a top surf spot and see the sea turtles lazing on the beach.

🌺 Experience a Traditional Luau—Oliver is still talking about the “fire men” from this! Most luaus on the island are family-friendly and include dinner. It’s a great cultural experience with traditional music and hula dancing!
