Santorini – Romance & Relaxation
Ideal for: A girls trip or couples trip
Santorini is pure magic. Imagine sipping cocktails as the sun sets, casting a golden glow over those classic white-washed buildings and blue-domed churches—it’s totally postcard-worthy!
Whether wandering through the picture-perfect village of Oia or chilling out on those one-of-a-kind volcanic beaches, this island is a dream destination for a romantic and laid-back getaway.
You’ve got luxurious hotels that pamper you like royalty. And those intimate restaurants with sweeping views of the Aegean Sea? They serve up unforgettable evenings with the freshest seafood and local wines.
But, be warned—it can get a bit touristy and overcrowded, especially during summer!

Top Santorini Hotels
One of the biggest reasons to come to Santorini is to experience the incredible cave hotels!
I’ve stayed at Andronis Boutique Hotel twice now and absolutely loved it. Andronis Arcadia is totally different, but if you’re looking for a trendy hotel with more of a party vibe than romance, this is a great spot. For pure luxury and elegance, the award-winning Canaves Oia Suites hotel is perfect for a romantic getaway or a girls’ trip.
As you plan your Greek Island getaway, use Expedia to find the best flight and accommodation prices and book your entire trip in one spot!

Ideal for: A trip with friends
Unleash your inner party animal in Mykonos! I’m talking vibrant nightlife that pulses with energy and beach clubs that come ALIVE with music and dancing until the early hours—it’s the epitome of a party paradise!
Expect huge crowds, expensive drinks and a raging good time.
If partying isn’t quite your jam, Mykonos offers beautiful beaches, perfect for lounging under the Mediterranean sun or some fun water sports.

Ideal for: Families
Naxos is a hidden gem home to some of the Cyclades’ most stunning beaches—think crystal-clear waters and soft, golden sands perfect for sun-soaked days.
Because Naxos is lesser-known, its beaches are refreshingly uncrowded—a big tick in my book!
But, heads up: these beaches can get pretty windy, which is perfect if you want to try your hand at kitesurfing! Kitesurfers flock to Naxos for its prime spots, where consistent winds and ample space guarantee great rides over the waves.
Beyond its beaches, Naxos offers a quieter, more authentic Greek island experience.
Wander around the quaint villages rich in history, including some of my favorites like Naxos Town, Apiranthos, and Filoti.

Ideal for: Couples, friends and families
I absolutely adore this island.
Milos is an adventure lover’s dream, perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and hiking around the coastline.
From the unique lunar landscape of Sarakiniko to the bright blue waters of Firiplaka, you’ll find yourself spending most of your time by the sea.
This off-the-beaten-path Greek island not only has stunning beaches but also offers a real glimpse into the local culture.
Keep in mind, that Milos is quite spread out—I find the best way to get around is by ATV or quad bike. And while there’s not much to do outside of the beach, this only adds to its charm, making it a wonderful retreat away from the tourist crowds.
For a touch of luxury, there are some amazing villas and hotels that are considerably cheaper than those in Santorini and Mykonos.
