When it comes to getting a group of my girlfriends together and heading out-of-town for a quick vacation, there are few destinations we like more than the beautiful city of Palm Springs.
The great thing about Palm Springs is that the stunning surroundings make it a really relaxing place to stay nearly all year-round. The Riviera Palm Springs is one of the hotels that has been a fixture in the area for decades and is one of the most luxurious hotels as well.
Perfect for my latest Palms Spring getaway with a few girlfriends!
Pampering at the Spa
One of the real highlights of a trip to the Riviera Palm Springs is the spa treatments you are able to enjoy at Spaterre. While one of your girlfriends enjoys the warming heat from the sacred stone massage, you can enjoy the Balinese Massage, which is truly relaxing.
They also have a great range of facial treatments, with the royal jelly option looking like a particularly good one. This is a great place to spend the morning and, after a massage, spend some time relaxing in the beautiful steam room, where a couple of cocktails complete your spa experience.
Relaxing by the Pool
The beautiful Bikini Pool is at the heart of the Riviera Palm Springs resort, and it offers everything you want when you’re planning a day of relaxing by the pool.
The water is cool and welcoming while the range of sunbeds are perfect for stretching out and relaxing in the California sunshine. The music there made it a great place to relax with the girls.
Of course, every good hotel pool has to have a poolside bar, and the range of drinks there was great. After a few margaritas, we were fully immersed in our girlfriend getaway at Riviera Palm Springs.
Shopping in Palm Springs
Palm Springs is a great destination if you are hoping to take in a little bit of retail therapy. Head down to El Paseo Drive, which is one of the best shopping areas in the city, and browse some of the big fashion brands that have shops there.
However, if some of the stores there are a little above what you are hoping to spend, head over to the Desert Hills Premium Outlets where you can find a few bargains from the big fashion names with outlets there.
The Rooms at Riviera Palm Springs
After $75 million dollars worth of renovations to the Riviera Palm Springs in recent years, the hotel has seen a great rejuvenation. Lounging on the deep beds with the bold colors in the room made for a comfortable night of deep sleep.
The patio offered some nice views to enjoy too!
On a more serious note, we all made good use of the wireless internet and bathtub. The bathroom was beautifully laid out and great for getting ready in the evening.
All are essentials when considering the best hotel for a girlfriend getaway!
Riviera Palm Springs’ Restaurants and Bars
The retro theme of the hotel is also seen throughout its social areas, with the Starlite Lounge styled in a wonderful blend of pink, red and purple tones that were lively and interesting.
You will definitely want to share a glass of bubbly with your girls here before or after dinner!
Circa 59 is the most popular of the restaurants in the hotel (and in all of Palm Springs for that matter.) With a lovely terrace area and a great range of martinis, we had a lovely evening meal.
We enjoyed a three-course menu complete with tuna tacos as starters (SO good!) and finished things off with a Molten Chocolate Cake. Yum!

Thinking of going to Palm Springs In March for a girls trip. Would it be warm enough or is it best to wait for summer ?!
Hi Ashley! I think Spring is a great time to visit Palm Springs, before it gets TOO hot in the middle of summer. Enjoy!
