On my first ever road trip through the Southern USA, I was giddy with excitement over my chance to visit Memphis, Tennessee – the Birthplace of Rock ‘N Roll.
Memphis’ history is deeply rooted in Blues & Rock ‘N Roll history and is home to some of the best BBQ along the Mississippi. To fully immerse myself in the Memphis spirit, I stayed at the four diamond Madison Hotel.
This boutique luxury hotel dazzles with cool urban design and mellows with high-end sophistication.
The Hotel
My eyes were wide as I checked into The Madison Hotel. The doorman greeting me with Southern hospitality and a warm smile and helped me to front desk to check-in.
The hotel was adorned with all kinds of Rock N’ Roll memorabilia and Blues insignia. It was like immediately being immersed in all of the things I imagined Memphis to be.
With the bold use of colors, modern furnishings, and all things music throughout, the Madison Hotel is both sexy and comfortable.
Rooms
After checking in, I was shown to my room. Sunlight flooded into the spacious room complete with a living area, desk and two big cozy beds.
I immediately placed my iPhone into the dock of the speaker system to play some Elvis classics!
With views of the Mississippi River and twice daily housekeeping with turndown service, it was the perfect accommodation for a little bit of luxury and comfort.
Amenities
While the rooftop was closed during my stay, the Madison Hotel’s Twilight Sky Terrace boasts incredible view of the city. With one-of-a-kind sunset views of the Mississippi River and the sparkling bridges that span it, it’s the perfect spot for a hand crafted cocktail and shared light bite at sunset.
The hotel also features a custom built gym inside a 100 year old vault. You can still see the 3 inch walls with nuts and bolts still in them!
After you work up a sweat, you can head to the glass enclosed 30 foot lap pool!
Dining
The Madison’s eighty3 restaurant menu features “globally inspired cuisine with southern sensibilities.” I enjoyed breakfast here both mornings of my stay in Memphis and was treated with great service and fantastic coffee.
Eighty3 also features Happy Hour Monday through Thursday from 5pm – 7pm and a weekend brunch that can be enjoyed every Saturday and Sunday.
With a central downtown location, comfortable rooms and southern hospitality, The Madison Hotel was the perfect accommodation destination in Memphis during my short stay in the city.

Excellent review about Madison hotel in Memphis. I have heard about lot of positive reviews about their hospitality and services. Though living in this luxury class hotel can be expensive for regular traveler but having a stay once in a year in this type of hotel can be a good choice.
Wow. They even have chocolates. That shot really captured the classiness of how it was delivered. Such a beautiful and relaxing place.
