    Hi,

Do you know when the $1000 fee to visit will take effect exactly? Jan 1st or is not set yet and can still go in Jan without it? Thanks.

Hi Elyse! I don’t believe anything is set in stone just yet, but it is possible that things could go into effect as of Jan 1st. I’d suggest reaching out to the company I toured with (Ora Dive) and they will be much more informed! There’s a link to them in the post. Also, this article explains a bit more but yeah it seems like it’s up in the air at the moment! https://www.cntraveler.com/story/what-komodo-islands-new-dollar1000-visitor-fee-means-for-travelers
