After having traveled around the world, Bali still hails as the most relaxing destination I’ve ever been to — not to mention the greenest! Bali is an Indonesian island known for its expansive forests (and monkey friends!), volcanic mountains, iconic rice fields, beautiful beaches and coral reefs.
There are so many reasons to visit Bali!
Everything that surrounds you in Bali is alive- from the churning of the river, to the chirping of birds, to the patter of rain against palm leave (and even the traffic of the city!). It’s an amazing destination for a bustling and intriguing cultural experience while also being one of the best places to unwind, relax and focus on your wellness.
Did I mention the food? Oh, the food!
Imagine fresh, organic smoothies and fruit bowls every morning. While relaxing on the beach, sip a virgin coconut and snack on grilled corn.
You can also find gourmet resort restaurants, cute little cafes, and lively bars right on the beach.
You’ll also be pleased to know that Bali is doable on any budget! There are luxury properties like the Four Seasons Bali, gorgeous private villas and countless massage shops serving up the best hour of relaxation you’ve ever had, for the bargain of only $6.
From sunsets at Tanah Lot, coconut mojitos and cotton candy skies on the beaches of Canggu, monkeys in Ubud and expansive rice fields, I can say Bali is a heaven on Earth.
My boyfriend and I are going to Bali at the end of April! It’s funny that I stumbled across your blog a few weeks ago, because in the past year we’ve already done several things on your “Ultimate couples bucket list” before I had even seen your page! This year we have been planning Bali & Oktoberfest in Munich! But literally everything on that post & more was already on our list as well! As our trip to Bali gets closer, Ive been doing a little more research! I know that it’s obviously a very magical place…but I’ve been reading recently about the Methanol poisonings that the locals have been putting in tourist’s alcoholic drinks, and it kind of scared me! What areas should we avoid? And do you have any safety tips?
Hi Kiela! I think you are referring to Arak, a local type of moonshine, so just be sure to stay away from that drink! Bali is quite safe, as long as you follow all travel warnings and are alert in the more tourist populated areas. The only area I would avoid is Kuta, as it is very touristy and is known to have a bit of a drug scene.
This place is beautiful amazing I want to go
