  1. Katie

Hi, I am really wanting to plan a girls trip for me & my two friends, we are coming from tennessee and dont know where to start to plan the trip. (what flights to take, language barriers, etc.) We have an airbnb picked out but wanting advice for flying!

Hi Katie! In my experience, many people in Bali (especially where the major tourism destinations are) tend to speak a little bit of English. Further out, not so much, but locals have been very friendly. As for flights, it totally depends on if you’re going for ones that are as budget-conscious or the one that gets you there the quickest. Using Google Flights and/or Kayak are great resources.

I would imagine you might have a layover in NYC or LAX from Tennessee and then likely somewhere else international like Hong Kong before going into Bali. As a heads up, it will be A LONG travel day (potentially close to a day and a half or even two, so keep that in mind — this is because of the layovers and no direct flights from TN).

Love your tips! thank you for sharing. I would love to come to BALI one day. I’ve heard so much great things about this wonderful destination.

I absolutely LOVED Bali! I hope you get the chance to experience it as well 🙂
