Done all of it in January (except the diving but including Ion) – just look forward to it, it’s gonna be phantastic! Don’t take a northern light trip by bus – it’s gonna be crowded and terrible. Instead, have a great dinner at the ion Restaurant, then go down to the pool, take a bath and wait for the northern light to crawl up behind that hill. It was an unforgettable experience! You can also book riding trips directly at the ion, which is great – we were completely alone with the teacher and took a great ride through the hills. Ah, I start daydreaming again 🙂
When you’re in Reykjavik, stop by Kex Hostel for great food, beer and atmosphere and go find something pretty at aurum (Laugavegur). Enjoy your trip!

  2. I was in Iceland in March and April of this year. It surpassed South Africa as my favorite country in the world. I liked it so much I might go back next month. You MUST rent a car and go to Jokulsaron.
