  1. Emma | The Gap Life Diaries

I’ve been living in Italy for about 6 years now, and have to say the longer I live here the more I believe that winter is the best time to come to Italy.

The other seasons are great, yes, but especially in summer (when temperatures even in the north reach 40C) Italy can be pretty unbearable as well as being rammed with tourists!

This winter so far, I’ve been to Palermo (Sicily) and the Cinque Terre, and absolutely loved not having to share my trip with anyone at all – it’s just a much more authentic experience and so much simpler (as well as cheaper!).

    But shhh.. it’s a secret 😉
